Privacy Policy
This is the short version: we try not to collect much, we try not to be weird with what we do collect, and we cannot promise the internet will behave perfectly.
This page explains how Sportball World handles privacy in normal, human language. It is written to keep expectations clear and conservative. If something here sounds too strict, that is intentional for now. The final version should be reviewed and adjusted before publishing.
What We Collect
We may collect the basic information your browser, device, network, or our hosting provider sends when you visit the site. That can include things like:
- Your IP address
- Browser and device details
- Pages you visit
- The date and time of your visit
- Referring pages or links
- Basic diagnostic logs
If you contact us, sign up for something, fill out a form, or send information another way, we may keep whatever you choose to send.
We do not want sensitive personal information from you. Please do not send things like passwords, financial details, health information, private family details, or anything you would not want handled casually unless we have clearly asked for it through a proper process.
How We Use It
We may use information for practical reasons, including:
- Running the site
- Keeping the site secure
- Fixing bugs
- Understanding what content people use
- Preventing spam, abuse, scraping, or other nonsense
- Replying if you contact us
- Improving the site over time
We do not promise to use every piece of information. Sometimes logs just sit there until they expire or are deleted.
Cookies And Similar Things
The site may use cookies, browser storage, analytics tools, embedded content, or hosting features that behave like cookies.
We prefer to keep this lightweight. Still, browsers, hosting platforms, spam protection, analytics, videos, maps, social embeds, payment tools, or other services may place or read cookies if they are used on the site.
You can usually block or delete cookies in your browser. Some parts of the site may work less well if you do.
Third-Party Services
The site may rely on third-party services for hosting, analytics, security, email, forms, payments, media, maps, fonts, or embedded content.
Those services may collect information under their own policies. We do not control everything they do, and we cannot promise that their practices match ours exactly. If you interact with an embedded tool, video, map, payment form, social link, or other outside service, you are also dealing with that service.
What We Share
We are not in the business of selling your personal information.
We may share information when it is useful or necessary to:
- Operate the site
- Use trusted vendors or service providers
- Protect the site, ourselves, our users, or others
- Investigate abuse, security issues, or technical problems
- Follow the law or respond to a valid legal request
- Transfer the site or related work if ownership or operations change
We may also share information that is aggregated, anonymized, public, or not reasonably tied to a specific person.
Security
We try to use reasonable security practices, but no website can promise perfect security.
Please do not treat this site as a secure vault. If you send information through the internet, there is always some risk. If something is extremely private, do not send it unless you are comfortable with that risk and we have provided a proper way to handle it.
Data Retention
We may keep information for as long as we reasonably need it for site operations, records, security, troubleshooting, legal reasons, or plain old administrative cleanup.
Some logs may be kept briefly. Some records may be kept longer. Backups may also keep older data for a while even after active copies are removed.
Your Choices
If this privacy policy would benefit from changes for you to consider using this site, please contact [email protected] for consideration of your proposed changes.
You can also:
- Adjust your browser privacy settings
- Block cookies or trackers
- Avoid sending optional information
- Contact us to ask about information you previously sent
We may not be able to fulfill every request, especially if we cannot verify it, if the data is not reasonably identifiable, if keeping it is necessary, or if the request creates too much security or operational risk.
Children
This site is not meant to collect personal information from children. If a child has sent us personal information, a parent or guardian can contact us and we will review it.
User-Submitted Content
If you post, submit, upload, email, or otherwise send content to us, do not include anything private unless you are comfortable with us receiving and storing it.
If content is intended to be public, assume it may be seen, copied, archived, indexed, or shared by other people and services. Once something is public, we cannot fully control where it goes.
International Visitors
The site may be operated, hosted, backed up, or supported from different places. By using it, you understand that information may be processed in places with different privacy rules than where you live.
Changes To This Policy
We may update this page from time to time. The newest version on the site is the version that applies going forward.
Big changes may be obvious. Small changes may just happen quietly. If this matters to you, please check back now and then.
Contact
If you have a privacy policy question, concern, or suggestion contact us [email protected].
Please keep messages practical. Do not send sensitive information unless we have clearly asked for it and provided a suitable way to receive it.
